Frustrated with these antics.

Like, I legit know that I whine too much, but honestly, this is where I vent.

Lucas and I went over to my friend Mezra’s house today. Her son Zaden is a month or so older than Lucas. So anyway, Lucas decided to throw a heavy metal truck at Z’s head, as well as yell at and hit him.

This sort of aggressive behaviour has been going on since Lucas was a little younger than 2, and I seriously don’t know what else to do to get him to STOP! We do “time-ins” (where I sit with him in a quiet spot, and say that we are going to stay there until he says sorry), I’ve tried time outs (a couple times- total disaster), and I always tell him it’s not okay to throw or hit.

Mezra said its because he doesn’t go around other kids enough, and that makes me feel awful, because I know this month we haven’t done much with other kids since we’ve been moving. Kevin tells me that it’s just a phase and he will grow out of it eventually.

In the meantime, I feel horrible when my child repetitively hits and yells at other kids. It’s why I had to get rid of the kids club membership at the gym, and why I struggle to even enjoy play dates (because I can’t ever take my eye off Lucas or he may throw/hit).
